“Small Acts of Love”

"Small Acts of Love" a new musical play, will open the newly renovated 146 years old Citizen's Theatre of Glasgow, Scotland , on September 12, 2025. "Small Acts of Love", written by playwright Frances Poet, will feature original music and songs by Deacon Blue's Ricky Ross. The play, the result of their four-year collaboration, has its roots in Lockerbie's response to the deadly attack of the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 on December 21, 1988 on their town. 270 people lost their lives that night, including 11 residents of Lockerbie. The play focuses on some of the relationships formed in the aftermath of the deadliest terror attack on British soil, between the residents of Lockerbie and American families and their decades-long recovery from that atrocity. The seven American families dramatized are the Boulangers, Ciullas, Engelhardt-Hawkins, Lowensteins, Miazgas, Monettis, Otenaseks.
